Please Don’t Make this Same Mistake…

Do you know what YOUR spine looks like?

I have a patient who came to see me the first time in February of 2005. He had never been to a chiropractor before. He was having some minor back pain. He had visible arthritis beginning but it was in the early stages. He received some short term care and had relief of symptoms. 4 months later he stopped coming into my office.

Fast forward to December of 2017. His back pain had returned except it was much more severe. A quick look at his x-rays showed his arthritis had advanced significantly. Not only in his back but in his neck as well as can be seen in the x-rays on the left.

In the 12 years that he did not receive chiropractic care he continued with his other healthy lifestyle habits. He has a really good, low inflammatory diet. In the last couple years he has taken fish oil and vitamin D3 regularly. He is a fit athlete. He was doing so many positive things. By the way, he was really not experiencing chronic back pain until about the last year and it was intermittent.

What happened in the 12 years that made his situation so much worse and permanent?

He was lacking the 2 things that could have prevented his arthritis from growing. Chiropractic care and adequate spinal hygiene.

Unfortunately, I have seen a similar scenario numerous times with different folks in my 20 year career. Chiropractic should be a part of every person’s life from birth to death. Frequency will vary person to person. Just like our teeth, if we maintain them properly, before we experience pain, we increase our chance of keeping our teeth. Our spine is no different, except more important because our spine is what protects our nerve system.

I am honored that you have chosen my chiropractic office and I look forward to helping you live a long and healthy time.
