New Year’s Resolution?

HRA-26

As we will shortly be embarking on a New Year it is a time to reflect on what we have accomplished in our lives and what we still want to accomplish. Unfortunately, many New Year’s Resolutions are set with good intentions and after only a few short weeks are disregarded. This happens for a multitude of reasons but one thing is for sure: if you have a realistic and honest assessment and an accountability partner your odds of succeeding improve dramatically.

In relation to your health, are you happy with your performance? Are you positive that your lifestyle habits are in line with longevity and quality of life? Have you quantified it?

For many years I have had a habit of re-evaluating my health/lifestyle choices at year end and then making new commitments and establishing accountability partners to help me succeed. I do this because I, like you, am not perfect.

If I could impart any New Year’s Wisdom to you it would be to take these 2 steps:

  1. Take a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) at least once a year.
  2. Use the HRA information to make changes.

I will address number 1 here and then another article will discuss number 2

First:

A Health Risk Assessment is a great tool that will give you a clear picture of what your lifestyle habits are doing for your health. It’s a great way to quantify if you are in line with longevity and quality of life principles.

Because we want to encourage everyone to take charge of your health this new year, anytime before January 14th, 2016, there will be no charge to you to take an online HRA.

For more information about the HRA you can visit our website and watch a video called Health Risk Assessment-Backpack Analogy

So as you leave 2015 behind and begin 2016, don’t make New Year’s Resolutions that will be discarded in a few weeks. Instead, start with a proper assessment and then use that information to make changes.
