Do You Need to Take Vitamin D?

4 min readBy Dr. Brad Sandler

There are folks today that say you do not need to take vitamin D. This is surprising to me given the mountain of evidence that points the other way.

Vitamin D is essential. The receptors live on nearly every cell in your body, bone, immune, nerve, mood, cardiovascular. The research has been steady and clear for decades: most adults are deficient, and supplementing with a clean D3 source paired with Vitamin A produces measurable, meaningful improvements in health markers.

If your goal is to be healthy and stay healthy, the answer for the vast majority of people is yes, you need to take Vitamin D, and you need to take a form your body can actually use.

If you have questions about your levels and what supplementation might look like for you, ask us at your next visit and we'll walk through it.
